Laundry Technician - PT Day

About the role

Perform day to day tasks to maintain a clean environment in a health care organization. Work independently or in a team environment ensuring safe and appropriate handling of laundry using equipment, methods, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, apply chemicals, set water temperatures, and dry laundry as needed.
• Collect, sort, and distribute clean and disinfected linens as per standard processes and policies.
• Complete tasks related to washing, drying, folding linens, sorting and folding clothing, and proper labeling based on organizational standards.
• Store and secure laundry supplies and equipment according to established procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting helpful.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required, depending on location.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a computer.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in cleaning.

Skills

• Physical stamina for standing for most of the shift.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30-50lbs and push/pull up to 500lbs.
• Exposure to certain levels of noise due to equipment operation.

Pay

• $11.13 - $17.00 per hour.

Schedule
