About the role
Perform day to day tasks to maintain a clean environment in a health care organization. Work independently or in a team environment ensuring safe and appropriate handling of laundry using equipment, methods, and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, apply chemicals, set water temperatures, and dry laundry as needed.
- Collect, sort, and distribute clean and disinfected linens as per standard processes and policies.
- Complete tasks related to washing, drying, folding linens, sorting and folding clothing, and proper labeling based on organizational standards.
- Store and secure laundry supplies and equipment according to established procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting helpful.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required, depending on location.
Qualifications
- Ability to use a computer.
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in cleaning.
Skills
- Physical stamina for standing for most of the shift.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30-50lbs and push/pull up to 500lbs.
- Exposure to certain levels of noise due to equipment operation.

Pay
- $11.13 - $17.00 per hour.
