Laundry Supervisor - Full Time (Horseshoe Laundry LV)

About the Role

This is a supervisor-level position responsible for overseeing a complete Dry-Cleaning department handling linen laundering for convention centers, guest clothing, employee uniforms, and specialties. The role ensures the safe and efficient operation of laundering equipment by an assigned team of up to 25 team members. The candidate will also manage accurate reporting of department productivity and ensure timely completion of work assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate equipment training, ensuring all team members meet high safety standards.
• Record and interpret daily productivity and ordering using Excel or other computer applications.
• Track team member attendance.
• Troubleshoot minor issues with laundry and dry-cleaning equipment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices with steam, high-temperature equipment, and cleaning chemicals, following OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure team members comply with all safety training and deadlines.
• Communicate professionally via email and meet deadlines without direct oversight.
• Supervise hourly team members in daily job duties and assignments.
• Handle tools, supplies, and equipment exceeding 50 lbs, using tool assistance as needed.
• Mentor and develop entry-level positions, providing coaching and praise as warranted.
• Lead daily communications with team members and support compliance with company and department policies.
• Issue discipline for policy violations when required.
• Use electronic MMS work order systems and company-specific programs.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of commercial laundry/dry-clean equipment, including washers, dryers, dry-clean machines, presses, and steam tunnels.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS products (Excel, Word).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) to ensure strong communication with all employees.
• Ability to work in an office environment, back-of-house locations, and a production floor with varying temperatures and long standing periods.
• Flexibility to work additional hours for projects or onsite coverage.
