About the Role
A reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Clerk who ensures timely and accurate distribution of goods and supplies throughout the property. You’ll receive, verify, and deliver items to various departments, maintain inventory records, and uphold Loews’ standards for efficiency, safety, and guest service.
Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries from vendors; inspect goods for accuracy, quality, and condition.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery documentation; report discrepancies promptly.
- Tag and organize items for distribution; maintain cleanliness and order in receiving areas.
- Deliver goods to designated departments (e.g., Culinary, Housekeeping, Banquets) according to schedules and requests.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable items; follow food safety guidelines.
- Operate carts, dollies, or other equipment safely to transport items throughout the property.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and transfers in property systems.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation; report shortages or overages.
- Support returns and exchanges with vendors as directed by Purchasing or Receiving Manager.
- Follow all safety protocols including lifting techniques, PPE use, and chemical handling guidelines.
- Comply with Loews Hotels’ standards and local health regulations.
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Regularly lift 50 pounds; bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and walk; stand for extended periods.
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
- Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
- Previous experience in commercial laundry is preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience driving and operating box trucks (light or medium-duty), cargo vans, small flatbed or refrigerated trucks preferred.
- Must be able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner in all weather conditions.
- Ability to push or pull laundry bins/carts loaded with 200-250 lbs. of soiled or dry laundry.
- Able to stand, stoop, bend, twist, lift, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be guest-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally with team members, leaders and guests required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
