About the Property

The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is a magnificent and storied hotel nestled in the heart of Roanoke, Virginia. Built in 1882, the Tudor-style hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers. It offers 329 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, along with over 63,000 square feet of flexible event space.

Responsibilities

• Washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens to maintain guest room cleanliness and comfort.
• Ensuring all linens are clean, fresh, and ready for guest use.
• Operating commercial laundry equipment including washer extractors, ironers, dryers, folders, and related machinery.
• Transporting, handling, and lifting up to 75 pounds, including housekeeping supplies and laundry items.
• Communicating effectively with guests and co-workers during shifts.
• Working independently with limited supervision while staying on task and completing required duties.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment including washer extractors, ironers, dryers, folders, and related machinery.
• Ability to transport, handle, and lift up to 75 pounds, including housekeeping supplies and laundry items.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while staying on task and completing required duties.
