Responsibilities

• Sort dirty linen from laundry chute for processing.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers, and linen folders.
• Stack clean items into laundry bins/trucks for delivery to guest room floors or Food & Beverage areas.
• Shake out all linen as needed and work chute area when required.
• Operate smaller washers/dryers to process specialty items or special requests for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Adhere to safety and sanitization regulations as instructed by OSHA and Omni Hotels & Resorts.
• Clean area and blow down all machines; clean all dryers at least twice per shift.
• Deliver clean linen to proper linen storage areas.
• Count and stock linen shelves and participate in monthly linen inventories.
• Ensure hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in a similar position preferred.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Willing to work extra hours/shifts to ensure all customer needs are met daily.
• Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Environment & Position Analysis

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Able to push and pull carts up to 250 pounds often throughout the shift.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch on a regular basis.
• Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Requires repetitive motion of arms for an extended period or for an entire shift.

• Steam presser, washing machine, dryers, and chemicals.
