Laundry Attendant

About the Role

Midas Hospitality is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This role supports the hotel's guest experience by ensuring a consistent supply of clean, fresh, and properly maintained linens, towels, and other laundry items. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining cleanliness, working efficiently, and supporting hotel operations through quality linen care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, inspect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and properly store hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironing equipment, and other laundry machinery according to manufacturer guidelines and hotel procedures.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, and quality concerns and follow proper procedures for treatment, washing, and replacement recommendations.
• Maintain appropriate linen inventory levels and communicate supply needs to Housekeeping leadership.
• Monitor and maintain automatic chemical and detergent dispensing systems and report inventory needs or equipment concerns.
• Clean lint traps, laundry machines, work areas, storage spaces, and equipment according to established safety schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry environment.
• Report maintenance concerns involving laundry equipment or hotel facilities to leadership or Engineering.
• Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and company operating standards.
• Support Housekeeping operations with additional cleaning, linen delivery, and department projects as needed.
• Work efficiently to meet daily laundry production goals and support overall hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, manufacturing, cleaning, or related experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Dependable work ethic and ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic communication skills and ability to understand instructions and work procedures.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. Candidates should be able to lift and move at least 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is primarily performed indoors within a hotel laundry facility and may include exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, laundry equipment, and moderate to loud noise levels.
