Laundry Attendant

Responsibilities

• Washing, folding, and restocking the entire hotel’s laundry in a timely, organized manner.
• Maintain the laundry area and equipment cleanliness.
• Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly and poise.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to scheduling needs.
• Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards.
• Ensure the washing, drying, folding, and discarding of linen and uniforms according to standard procedures.
• Keep laundry equipment in good condition by coordinating with Maintenance for repairs.
• Stock and maintain linen and laundry supplies.
• Coordinate linen distribution among other departments and guest rooms.
• Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to company standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of linen and lint traps.
• Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and accurately.
• Show initiative in job performance by anticipating guest and team member needs.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any safety issues to management immediately.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping or laundry experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Experience in team management preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions and communicate effectively in English.
• Detailed orientation and ability to multitask.
• Team player and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
