Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

• Load and unload washers according to machine guidelines.
• Load and unload dryers according to machine guidelines.
• Stretch and straighten tangled sheets.
• Run towels through the towel-folding machine.
• Manually fold towels and bedspreads.
• Run sheets through the ironer at the recommended speed.
• Catch and stack sheets and other linens as they come off the ironer, placing them in the appropriate carts.
• Sort and soak stained linens and terry items in designated soaking bins.
• Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Transport linens and terry from the sorting and storage areas to the washers.
• Safely operate all equipment while maintaining required productivity levels.
• Clean lint from all machines during the shift and at the end of the day.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and count to at least 50.
• Must be available to work any day of the week and any shift.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift at least 50 pounds, carry, push/pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, talk, and hear.
• Manual dexterity to include handling linen and garments.
• Ability to differentiate variations in color.

Pay

$16.00 per hour
