Laundry Attendant

About the role

Facilitate the operation of the district laundromat for homeless families and maintain order in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operates and cares for equipment used in the laundromat.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
• Schedules adults for available time slots.
• Distributes laundry supplies as needed to adults utilizing the facility.
• Maintains an accurate log of use for documentation purposes.
• Alerts the supervisor of any problem or special information about the operation of the facility.
• Participates in inservice training programs as assigned.
• Ensures parenting materials are provided for families while they wait at the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Qualifications

• Ability to develop effective working relationships with parents, students, staff and the school community.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education policies.
