Laundry Attendant

Pay: $18/hr. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a supply of fresh linens. The Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, and folding linens, terry, and other laundry for the resort and restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Transports substantial loads of wet and dry linen and terry in carts to washers and dryers
• Observes machine operations and reports malfunctions
• Washes, dries, and folds linens
• Informs manager if laundry needs to be re-stocked in closets
• Sorts laundry when possible from laundry carts
• Cleans filters of dryers
• Tracks discarded linens

Requirements

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen

Desired Qualifications & Traits

• Prior experience in Housekeeping Laundry

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Able to bend, stretch, and twist
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to work with chemicals according to directions
