Laundry Attendant

Location: Waterloo, NY

About the role

Responsible for washing, drying and storage of hotel and banquet linens.

Pay Range: $24.39-$27.10/hour.

Responsibilities

• Daily washing and drying of hotel and banquet linens
• Ironing and steaming of items may be required
• Neatly fold laundry and distribute it according to company requirements
• Conduct general maintenance and upkeep of the machines, which includes cleaning machine filters
• Maintain safe working area by sweeping and mopping floors periodically
• Coordinate duties with other hotel staff

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of laundry and push heavy carts without assistance
• Ability to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel and crouch
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Must be able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Required to stand for an extended time
• Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently
