Laundry Attendant

Ensures all linen is properly washed, dried, cleaned, restocked, and all closets are maintained with proper pars. Operates all laundry equipment and maintains a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel’s linen supply
• Sorts laundry prior to washing
• Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading the washing
• Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights
• Follows proper settings and procedures for all equipment
• Monitors usage of water to maximize consumption
• Informs supervisor of any equipment failures or supply shortage
• Presses and folds linens and uniforms properly according to garment labels, stacks or stores as required
• Completes inventory of stock as requested
• Ensures rotation with team members regarding machines, folding, and removing and placing linen in the machine or on carts
• Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
• Maintains knowledge of and complies with all department policies and Covid protocols
• Maintains cleanliness of laundry room and equipment
• Uses equipment and chemicals in accordance with hotel’s safety procedures
• Adheres to all health, sanitation, and safety rules and procedures
• Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates genuine hospitality and exceeds guest expectations
• Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service
• Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems
• Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
• Assumes responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
• Performs other duties required to provide service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
• Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to guests

Requirements

• Minimum of one-year hospitality experience in laundry or dry cleaning
• Follows instructions and communicates effectively
• Works well independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to exceptional guest service
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Adheres to the policies and procedures of the hotel

Physical Demands

• Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
• Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use force up to 75 lbs
• Use of manual dexterity with common office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones

Pay

$20 per hour

Schedule

Varied based on business demand, including weekends and holidays. The hotel operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
