Laundry Aide - FT

Essential Functions

• Perform day-to-day activities of housekeeping and laundry services as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor to assure the facility is maintained in a clean and comfortable manner.
• Clean, disinfect equipment and supplies, monitor environment for potential hazards, clean vacant rooms as assigned, ensure proper disposal of infectious waste(s) into appropriate containers and other duties as assigned.
• Wash and dry residents clothing items using facility machines.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Work is typically performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
• Work is performed on multi-level facilities.

Required Skills

• Effective English communication skills.
• Ability to understand basic housekeeping tasks consistent with facility priorities.
• Professional demeanor with resident community.

Required Education

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
