Laundry Aide

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold facility linens and residents’ personal laundry
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of residents’ clothing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Report equipment issues or supply needs to supervisor
• Auxiliary with delivery and distribution of clean laundry throughout the facility

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus, but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude
