Laundry Aide

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing
• Operate washing and drying machines according to manufacturer's instructions
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and repairs, notifying management when needed
• Ensure that all laundry items are properly stored and available as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment
• Follow health and safety guidelines, including infection control policies
• Work collaboratively with other staff to support residents' comfort and well-being

Requirements

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and quality standards
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull laundry loads
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward residents
