Launderer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Launderer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, well-organized linens and clothing to support daily operations. You will perform various laundry-related tasks, such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering laundry items, while ensuring cleanliness and safety in the laundry environment. Key Responsibilities

• Sort, load, and unload laundry items including linens, garments, and other materials.
• Inspect laundry for stains, tears, or other issues, and report these to the supervisor.
• Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry for distribution.
• Deliver clean personal laundry to resident rooms and ensure it is put away properly.
• Transport clean facility laundry to designated areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Keep accurate records of laundry cycles, inventory, and supply usage.
• Occasionally mend or make minor repairs to residents’ personal clothing.
• Follow proper procedures for handling laundry chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• Ensure timely completion of all laundry tasks.
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Aid supervisors and team members with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of commercial or institutional laundry experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent attendance.
• Positive interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, residents, and visitors.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in an environment with occasional exposure to unpleasant odors and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions
