Launch Technician - Vehicle Integration
About the role
At Stoke, we're building Nova, a fully reusable launch vehicle designed to connect Earth and space efficiently. This role involves developing and commissioning a new launch pad, requiring expertise in various construction and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, and operate launch ground support equipment based on written and verbal instructions, work orders, technical drawings, CAD models, and procedures.
- Perform precision measurement and cleaning of hardware components.
- Identify discrepancies and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with engineering for resolutions and documenting corrective actions.
- Execute component builds or assemblies as per work orders and accurately document build processes for new and repeatable assembly sequences.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace, mechanical, or construction environments.
- Experience with hands-on work of flight hardware and spacecraft from initial receipt through processing and readiness for launch, including hypergolic or other fueling operations.
- Knowledge of building, assembling, testing, and operating process piping, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
- Experience installing fluids system hardware including tubing, fittings, valves, brackets, mounting hardware, studs, and inserts.
- Hands-on experience with assembling and operating FOD-intolerant service components and systems.
- Ability to safely operate hazardous systems, including high-energy, pressure, temperature, and high-power systems.
- Experience in lockout/tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, confined space permits, rigging, & lifting.
- Skilled in handling delicate and high-value assemblies.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment including reach-lifts and aerial lifts.
- Ability to work second shift and weekends as required.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve manufacturability, integration flow, tooling, and documentation.
- Maintain strong configuration control and workmanship standards on flight hardware.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, quality, repeatability, and safety.
- Operate with a high level of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail in a development-focused production environment.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain & maintain military installation access including DBIDS.
- Willing to relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL.
- Willing to travel as needed (:20%).

Compensation
Target Levels: Level 2 Range: $32.11 - $48.16
Level 3 Range: $40.13 - $60.17
