Lateral Conflicts Attorney - Remote

Responsibilities

• Review and provide thorough and timely analysis of conflicts information provided by lateral candidate(s).
• Identify potential conflict issues, and provide conflict resolutions.
• Utilize available internal and external databases to review and analyze conflicts of interest reports with respect to conflicts information provided by a prospective incoming lateral(s).
• Facilitate resolution of potential conflicts issues for incoming portable work identified by a lateral candidate(s).
• Advises as to necessary waivers.
• Aid in drafting waivers and engagement letters or other documentation for Partner reviews.
• Proactively communicate with department leadership teams on complex conflicts questions and other compliance issues.
• Maintain thorough, accurate and current records of all conflicts resolutions in order to ensure integrity of the database and assist in identification and clearing of future conflicts of interest.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active state bar membership with at least 3 years of legal experience.
• Prior experience working with law firms or corporate legal departments.
• Prior experience with conflicts analysis is preferred but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work productively with firm personnel at all levels.
• Excellent customer/client facing skills.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Methodical approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to details, consistency and quality.
• Able to effectively negotiate with and influence colleagues and others to achieve a successful outcome.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Knowledge of Intapp conflict checking, ethical wall and business intake software is a plus.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000, based on experience and local market.
