Essential Duties
- Prepare and operate laser cutting machines
- Ensure quality of finished parts
- Perform regular routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machines
- Program and optimize laser cutting processes
- Select and adjust materials
- Check and inspect finished parts
- Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Plant Manager
- Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities
- Participate as an active member of the production team
- Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System
- Follow detailed instructions, processes and procedures
- Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
Skills/ Qualifications
- A high school diploma/GED and 2 years of experience in CNC Programming
- Ability to operate laser machinery
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read tape measures and use calipers
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Experience in the manufacturing environment
