About the Role

The laser operator assumes a processing role in the production of finished parts and is responsible for regular and repetitive duties.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.
  • Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects.
  • Read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders and measurements.
  • Work independently and under close supervision.
  • Demonstrate production competency and knowledge of production systems.
  • Rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as deemed necessary.
  • Operate appropriate equipment including fabricating machinery, crane, etc.
  • Physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds.
  • Possess successful problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow team members, customers, etc.
  • Work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
  • Prioritize and easily adapt to changes throughout the day.
  • Use measuring tools, micrometers, tape measures, and calipers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year manufacturing/industry experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling.
  • Must lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager.
