Large Format Production Operator

Description

The Large Format Operator is responsible for preparing substrates, setting up and operating large format equipment, installing signage, conducting quality control inspections, and inputting job details into the ERP system. This role collaborates with the Production department to ensure timely and accurate job completion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Understand different substrates and prepare them for printing
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot large format equipment independently
• Accurately assist in installing various signage and large format materials using power and hand tools, adhesives, stud finders, and leveling equipment
• Review job boxes for accuracy and report any errors
• Complete quality control inspections and create packaging for finished jobs
• Collaborate with multiple team members to ensure job completion by the due date
• Input finished jobs into the internal ERP system
• Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed

Nonessential Duties And Responsibilities

• Stand for prolonged periods of time
• Reach with hands and arms to walk, stoop, and bend over
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts and other employees
• Work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels, including light machinery, nearby printers, and employee conversations

Requirements

• A High School Diploma is required, with some prior experience or training in print being preferred
• Must have a solid understanding of computers, data entry, internet searches, and the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to write effective correspondence to customers and coworkers
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must have mathematical abilities to read a ruler, calculate simple costs, and perform other basic mathematical tasks
