About the role
As a Large Format Print Operator, you will produce high-quality graphics, signage, and display materials using large format print equipment. Your machine operation skills will be key to operating and maintaining flatbed and roll-to-roll UV inkjet printers to ensure prints meet precise specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed and roll-to-roll large format UV inkjet printers to produce high-quality graphics, signage, and materials.
- Accurately record production time, materials, and job details in the data system.
- Laminate, trim, cut, and package printed materials according to production requirements.
- Inspect printed output for color accuracy, defects, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on large format printing equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or print-related issues to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient workflow and production standards.
- Communicate production updates, issues, or material needs with supervisors and team members.
Requirements
- Experience operating large format digital presses (flatbed and roll-to-roll preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed job tickets and production instructions.
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and color accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to record production data accurately.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset and clear communication skills.
- Desire to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative print environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2–4 years of experience operating large format printers or related digital printing equipment preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Standing 100% of the shift.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials.
Schedule
- 1st shift (8:00 am – 4:00 pm).
- 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am).
- 3rd shift (12:00 am - 8:00 am).
