Large Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Receives written, visual, and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.
• Coincides machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.
• Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
• Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.
• Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment.
• Loads and moves dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Five years of experience in a related position.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read, interpret, and understand plans and specifications. High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent. Previous experience operating dozers, loaders, skidsteers, and/or blades.

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment Substance Abuse test. This is a safety sensitive position. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. The hourly rate for this position is $31.16 per hour.
