Large Animal/Pet - Department Head

Essential Functions

• Help customers with special order requests and locating merchandise.
• Inform customers of product knowledge that may be helpful.
• Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise in multiple departments.
• Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
• Review and correct outages and overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
• Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads and sale signage.
• Identify and display of new items at their designated location in department with Management approval.
• Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps and displays.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment, while following loss prevention, safety procedures, and regular area safety checks.
• Attend store and job-related meetings along with review of the F&H Weekly Update.
• Professional communication with Customers, Management, and co-workers.
• Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Weightlifting capability up to and including 80 lbs.
• Maintain and control organized stock room area.
• Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Completing special projects directed by management.
• Other duties and responsibilities that may be required to meet the needs of the business.

Minimum Requirements - Experience and Training

• Minimum Age requirement is 18 years old.
• Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
• Six months of previous retail experience is preferred.
• Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members who want to grow.
