Lao Language Specialist | $95/hr Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Transcribe video content between Lao and English with accurate timestamps.
• Analyze and describe speaker emotion, tone, and intent with cultural sensitivity.
• Evaluate grammar, syntax, and language structures in both Lao and English.
• Explain conceptual meanings and definitions of complex or nuanced terminology.
• Perform advanced linguistic analysis, including tone assessment and contextual interpretation.
• Support additional language and communication tasks based on project needs.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality output while meeting project timelines.

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken Lao and English with strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in transcription, language analysis, or interpretation work.
• Ability to identify and describe emotional nuance, tone, and intent in spoken language.
• Strong attention to linguistic detail, grammar, and contextual meaning.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication.
• Familiarity with transcription tools and digital collaboration platforms is preferred.
• Educational background in linguistics, translation, communications, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience handling multimedia or complex language analysis projects is advantageous.
