Responsibilities

  • Oversees a crew of 4–8 employees and manages daily work performed.
  • Ensures adherence to all safety policies, assists with weekly safety training and inspections, and helps maintain proper inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Performs a wide variety of tasks to maintain an attractive landscape, including weed control, perennial cultural practices, pruning, pest treatments, planting, routine lawn care (grass cutting, edging), and seasonal clean-up.
  • Operates various mechanical equipment (mowers, backhoes, bobcats, tillers, chainsaws, etc.), moves materials, digs holes and trenches, hauls/spreads materials, and performs snow removal.
  • Provides training to Landscaping Technicians, maintains assigned equipment, responds politely to customer inquiries, applies chemicals under direction, and assists Facilities Maintenance staff and special projects, including painting during the winter season.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid State Driver’s License and insurable with company’s agent.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
  • Pesticide Certification preferred.
  • Five years of experience in landscaping or horticultural work.
  • TN category 3 pesticide certification.
