Responsibilities

• Flex your leadership skills, directing the work of 2‑5 team members.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Oversee crews in varying service lines, including basic maintenance, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and chemical applications.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations and delegate work to crew members.
• Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are met.
• Identify more efficient ways to perform work.
• Surface client concerns to the Production Manager and proactively assist in achieving a resolution.
• Provide the Production Manager with feedback on crew members.
• Assist the Production Manager in the development and training of crew members.
• Turn in accurate crew time logs.
• Ensure all crew members perform work safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance.
• Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License: Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Chauffeur’s Endorsement: A chauffeur’s endorsement or chauffeur’s license is REQUIRED for this role; the PREFERRED candidate already holds one. Candidates willing to obtain a Chauffeur’s license prior to starting work (at their cost) will also be considered.
• Previous experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Landscaping Crew Leader is necessary.
• DDOT Medical card: The PREFERRED candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a medical exam that includes a drug test (Federal requirement) post‑offer and before starting work.
• State of MI (MDARD) Pesticide licenses: The PREFERRED candidate already has MDARD
