Landscape Technician

Responsibilities

• Obtain familiarity with all ROA, LCA, and Company properties
• Assist with right-of-way turf, shrubs, and plant maintenance
• Supervise and maintain current irrigation systems
• Lead ROA staff in house projects related to flower bed maintenance, property maintenance, and special projects
• Assist LCA Property Manager with organizing and coordinating ROA projects
• Inspect LCA, ROA, and club properties to recognize normal needs and liability issues
• Follow through with solutions to property inspection results
• Supervise and inspect subcontractor work for ROA-owned common areas and LCA properties
• Interact with Reynolds Lake Oconee staff and property owners
• Assist with holiday decorations for common areas
• Meet and consult with property owners as directed by ROA staff
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by ROA Landscape Manager or Director
• Operate small tractor, backhoe, and power tools

Safety Responsibilities

• Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs
• Report safety or hazard concerns to management
• Report any on-the-job injury to management
• Take personal responsibility for safety every day

Requirements

• General horticultural knowledge, including the ability to identify plants, trees, and flowers
• Ability to undertake projects from start to finish
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Excellent public interaction and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a good record
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor weather conditions
• Ability to lift, bend, and stretch up to 80 lbs
