About the role

We take landscaping seriously and are looking for an experienced Landscape Manager to manage multiple landscape crews specializing in softscape installation in Western PA, engaging in new or improved landscape projects of all sizes for our clients.

Experience and capabilities to manage both English and Spanish speaking team members is required. Horticultural knowledge of regional plants is required for plant layout, proper installation and maintenance best practices. Softscape projects also require a general knowledge of hardscape elements, irrigation systems and landscape lighting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the daily landscape operations, coordinate crews, equipment and materials
  • Provide training oversight while assuring overall profitability
  • Collaborate with our entire team and with our customers to install some of the highest quality landscapes in our region while maintaining our reputation of exceeding industry and competitive standards
  • Quality control and clear communication with team members and customers is of utmost importance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years landscape crew management experience including management and communication with Spanish-speaking landscape crews
  • Horticultural knowledge of regional plants
  • General knowledge of hardscape elements, irrigation systems and landscape lighting systems
  • Ability to follow and understand written and verbal directions
  • Reliable, punctual, honest and courteous
  • Willing to learn and perform assigned tasks
  • Work alongside others as a team
  • Communicate with customers tactfully and courteously
  • Be neat and clean in habit and personal appearance

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • College degree in horticulture or related is advantageous

Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Professional experience and/or training in specific disciplines of landscape, horticulture and related
  • Related course work and degree(s), licensures, certifications, and training
  • Knowledgeable in the operations of landscape trucks, trailers, and related equipment
  • Computer, smartphone and tablet capabilities for company software operations

Pay

Starting Pay: $30+ per hour/$45+ O.T.

Pay is negotiable and commensurate to experience and abilities.

Schedule

Weekly work schedule is typically Monday through Friday and Saturdays only as needed. Weekend work is minimized by efficient operations and proactive planning.
