Landscape Labourer

About the role

Lacoste Garden Center and Landscaping are seeking landscape laborers who are physically fit, energetic, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with peers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Operate various tools including shovels, rakes, and gas/electric power tools
• Deliver landscape materials from the street to the worksite
• Assist in laying sod, building landscape beds, planting plants, building patios/decks, and fences

Requirements and Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided on-site
• Comfortable working in temperatures up to +40°C during midsummer
• Able to lift 50 lbs and maintain good physical condition for 8-12 hours daily
• Class 5 driver's license required to meet at Lacoste and travel to work sites
• Strong communication skills; will work in teams of 3 or 4
• Safety equipment provided by Lacoste; steel-toed boots not provided

Job Summary

Our landscape laborers play a crucial role in our landscaping department. Each day, you'll learn and complete a range of tasks under the guidance of your foreman and sub foreman, including laying sod, building landscape beds, planting plants, building patios, decks, and fences.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Operate various tools such as shovels, rakes, and power tools
• Transport landscape materials from the street to the worksite
• Participate in team efforts to complete landscaping projects
