About the role

This is an introductory role in the landscape installation, and will lead to a rewarding career in the green industry. It is possible to move up into a management role after one season of summer/winter depending upon the individual.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to your team through hard work and great attitude, developing your crews skillset in our industry by providing mentorship and leadership to crew members.
- Operating tools and machinery such as skid loaders, tractors, dump trucks, mini excavators, tampers, backpack blowers etc.
- Working in the outdoors with whatever weather conditions Mother Nature throws at us.
Requirements
- Comfortable with long summer hours outdoors Monday through Friday usually half days on Friday.
- 7 days/wk availability for winter snow removal.
- A genuine, trustworthy, humble, leader, goal driven person that will contribute to our work environment in a positive way.
- Must be able to lift 80lbs without assistance and have full range of body motion.
- Class D drivers license.
- CDL Class A would be greatly preferred and beneficial.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping, with a minimum of [X years] in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of landscape installation and maintenance techniques, plant identification, and horticultural practices.
- Project management skills.
- Proficiency in operating landscape equipment and tools, including but not limited to mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems.
- Able to use basic tools safely and properly: shovel, grading rake, spade, wheelbarrow, sod roller, etc.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and effectively communicate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
- Class A driver’s license.
- Landscape industry certifications (e.g., Landscape Industry Certified Technician) are desirable but not required.
