Landscape Equipment Operator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate ride-on mowers, zero-turn mowers, and tractors for cemetery lawn maintenance
• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and weed control around headstones, monuments, mausoleums, and memorial areas
• Tractor attachments safely operated such as trailers, spreaders, aerators, and grading implements
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Load, transport, and secure equipment properly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures, cemetery regulations and OSHA guidelines
• Demonstrate professionalism and sensitivity when working around funeral services and visitors
• Work collaboratively with crew members and follow direction from Senior Crew Supervisors
• Notify crew supervisor immediately of unsafe working conditions or practices observed in the area

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in landscape maintenance, preferably within a cemetery environment
• Proven experience operating commercial ride-on mowers and tractors
• Strong understanding of safety practices
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
• Understanding of safe equipment operation and basic mechanical troubleshooting
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under Senior Crew Supervisors
