Landscape/Enhancements Crew Leader

About the role

GroundSystems is a locally-owned commercial landscaping company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, specializing in landscape maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, and snow removal. This hands-on role involves leading a crew of 1–4 employees at our Dayton location, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train crew members
• Perform landscape maintenance and enhancements, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, planting, pruning, and seasonal cleanups
• Ensure job site quality, productivity, and safety
• Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, trucks, and trailers
• Track employee hours and job activities using a mobile device

Qualifications

• Must be 20+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license with no violations in the past 3 years
• Ability to speak and understand basic English
• Previous landscaping and crew leadership experience preferred
• Experience operating landscaping equipment and hand tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors, and work overtime as needed
• Must follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE
