Landscape Enhancement Crew Member - Orlando

Description Primary Accountability: The crew member will typically perform a variety of tasks, which include sod laying mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking. Expectations/Responsibilities Care for lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls.Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers.Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.Follow planned landscaping designs as directed by Crew Leader and General Manager.Gather and remove litter.Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.Other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications/Competencies: Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED3+ years of experience in commercial landscaping requiredAbility to handle the physicality of our work: weather conditions, heavy lifting, and extensive walking.Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time operating a motor vehicleAbility to lift 60 lbs.Ability to work in severe weather conditions both hot and cold. Work and travel in inclement weatherAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to stand and exert physical effort performing manual labor 50-70% of the timeAble to tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels Salary Description $16.00 - $20.00/hour
