Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of landscape technicians and laborers, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and landscape designers to understand project requirements and develop detailed plans for implementation.
- Organize and schedule daily tasks, allocating resources and materials efficiently to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.
- Oversee all aspects of landscape construction, including but not limited to grading, excavation, hardscaping, planting, irrigation installation, and lighting.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition and safely utilized.
- Monitor project progress, making adjustments as needed to address unforeseen challenges and maintain project timelines.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports to project managers, ensuring projects are completed within allocated budgets.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new techniques, and emerging technologies in the field of landscape construction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape construction preferred, with a proven track record of successfully managing and executing projects of varying complexity.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining landscape equipment and machinery.
- Able to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and project stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
