Landscape Architecture Designer I
About the role
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Landscape Architecture Designer for immediate employment in the New York City Landscape Architecture + Urban Design Studio.
Responsibilities
- Perform design work of landscape architecture studio at the direction and under the supervision of design leadership.
- Prepare materials for client and agency meetings.
- Perform basic landscape architecture calculations under the supervision of team leads.
- Prepare reports and related data tables.
- Prepare and edit drawings as required.
- Perform construction administration tasks at the direction and under the supervision of team leads.
Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. in Landscape Architecture or related disciplines.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience.
- Experience generating exceptional two dimensional and three dimensional design graphics.
- Experience preparing construction documents, reports, and publication documents.
- Experience in production and digital rendering with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino.
- Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work.
- Experience creating compelling open space design, with an ability to develop the work through the technical design phase.
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
- Experience in Microstation, Grasshopper, Revit, ArcGIS, and other computer applications.
- Strong knowledge/interest in plant materials, site design, grading, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements: B.A./B.S. in Landscape Architecture or related disciplines.
- Preferred qualifications: 1 year of professional experience.
Benefits
The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 per year.
