Landscape Architectural Associate II
Posting Location: Peoria, IL
About the role
In this role, you will support landscape architecture projects from concept through construction, working on a diverse portfolio that includes public spaces, private developments, parks, campuses, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the planning, design, bidding, and construction administration of projects.
- Preparing conceptual sketches, technical drawings, and presentation materials.
- Supporting the Project Landscape Architect with proposals, cost estimates, specifications, and reports.
- Participating in client, contractor, and project team meetings.
- Performing site observation and construction administration tasks.
- Delivering work that is accurate, timely, and reflective of Farnsworth’s high standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
- 3–5 years of related professional experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using AutoCAD for drafting.
- Knowledge of plant materials including trees, shrubs, and perennials.
- Preferred knowledge of Adobe Suite.
- Interest in learning or expanding skills in 3D design and graphics software.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Effective communication—verbal, written, and visual.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and pursue licensure.
- Enthusiasm for teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.

Pay
Salary Range: $60,000 - $78,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
