Landscape Architect – Summer Internship

About the role

Carlson Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to join their team. Established in 1995, the firm provides services in civil engineering, landscape architecture, and environmental sciences to both public and private clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawings
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Participate in various types of projects including commercial planting design, irrigation design, master planning, site layout, municipal code compliance, and parks and recreation projects

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status pursuing a Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture degree or equivalent
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Graphic skills
• Ability to travel to different job sites
• Effective documentation of field observations
• Ability to work on foot for 3-4 hours at a time
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Communication skills with client staff
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• One to two years’ experience in AutoCAD (preferred)
