Landscape Architect/Land Planner

Responsibilities

• Supervise a multi-discipline team designing and developing construction plans for site civil/infrastructure projects
• Client communication
• Budget oversight and responsibility
• Construction document (plan and specifications) and technical reports preparation and/or oversight
• Engineering analyses and cost estimates
• Quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product
• Management of project team to bring project from concept, permitting, design, construction and post construction phases
• Establish milestones and completion dates for projects and monitor progress for final evaluation of results

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban and Regional Planning
• RLA/AICP in the state of Maryland
• Ten (10) plus years of experience directly related to the design and execution of land development projects in Frederick, Maryland, greater Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC metro area preferred
• Preparation of graphics, exhibits, and site/civil construction plans
• Strong technical capabilities in various Software Applications including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

Qualifications

Additional experience is necessary with home builders and other development entities in the Frederick County, MD region to assist with business development, networking, and marketing to expand workload to our growing team.

Skills

Subject matter knowledge of the Frederick, and surrounding, County development process as well as familiarity with the active home and site development companies in the area.

Benefits

Salary Range: The projected salary range for this position is $89,000-$114,000 annually in our Frederick, MD office.
