Description Site Designer (Landscape Architect) Position Overview Our client is seeking a Site Designer (Landscape Architect) to join their growing team. This individual will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing a variety of outdoor environments and land development projects. The role combines creative design with technical expertise to deliver aesthetically appealing, functional, and sustainable site solutions for projects ranging from small-scale landscapes to large-scale urban and rural developments. Key Responsibilities Prepare site layouts, grading plans, and roadway designs utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. Develop conceptual site designs and land development plans for a variety of project types. Create planting plans, landscape designs, and outdoor amenity concepts. Produce presentation graphics, renderings, and visual materials for clients and stakeholders. Design lighting plans and assist with material and site furnishing selections. Coordinate site utility layouts, including water and sanitary sewer systems. Support stormwater management and erosion & sediment control design efforts. Research and interpret zoning ordinances, subdivision and land development regulations, and municipal requirements. Prepare cost estimates and opinions of probable construction cost. Assist during construction by reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, performing site observations, and coordinating with contractors. Prepare as-built plans and project closeout documentation for agency submissions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field. 0-5 years of experience in landscape architecture, site design, or land development. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar CAD software. Understanding of site grading, land development, and construction documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Experience with land development and municipal planning projects. Knowledge of stormwater management and erosion & sediment control design. Experience creating renderings, presentation graphics, and conceptual plans. Exposure to construction administration and observation services. Familiarity with local zoning and subdivision and land development ordinances. They should possess a balance of creative design ability and technical expertise, along with the communication and organizational skills needed to collaborate with clients, municipalities, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, municipalities, and internal project teams. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
