Landfill Engineer

About the role

The primary responsibility of a Landfill Engineer is to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, oversee the safe operation of landfills, and manage waste disposal processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement waste management plans to minimize environmental impact
• Monitor landfill operations to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize waste diversion and recycling efforts
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental laws and company policies
• Prepare reports on landfill performance and make recommendations for process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in landfill engineering or waste management
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices in waste management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
