Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform boundary, topographic, and construction surveys using surveying equipment and software.
  • Analyze survey data and prepare plans, and legal descriptions.
  • Verify property boundaries and resolve discrepancies in land records.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide survey support.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Manage survey crews and oversee field operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects.
  • Utilize GPS, GIS, and CAD technologies for data collection and mapping.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Professional Land Surveyor license in Massachusetts.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional surveying experience.
  • Proficiency in surveying instruments, GPS systems, and CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles related to land surveying.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with GIS mapping and data management.
  • Familiarity with drone surveying and LiDAR technology.
  • Project management experience.
