The Land Agent supports DISA's growing uranium and abandoned uranium mine (AUM) site portfolio by assisting with land research, mineral title research, staking mining claims, regulatory filings, and the administrative and fieldwork needed to secure, maintain, and manage DISA's land assets. This role blends office work, field operations, regulatory coordination, and cross-functional support. The Land Agent is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in both field and administrative environments. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and contributing to many areas of business development. Benefits: $60-$80K a year (paid bi-weekly)401k Matching up to 4%Excellent Healthcare BenefitsWork Schedule: M-T (7:30am - 5:30pm) and Fri (7:30am to 11:30am) Typical Job Duties And Responsibilities Conduct ownership and title research for prospective AUM sites, mining claims, and private parcelsCompile and maintain accurate records of landowners, mineral rights, surface rights, and applicable encumbrancesSupport due diligence for site acquisition, staking, leasing, or agreementsTrack land status changes and ensure internal systems stay updatedAssist with planning and executing staking of new mining claims on BLM and state landsEnsure compliance with location requirements, monument standards, and submission deadlinesDocument field staking with GPS coordinates, maps, and photosSupport early-stage site visits and field assessmentsHelp prepare and file POOs, COO's NOIs, NOEs, and associated regulatory documentsCoordinate with state agencies, BLM field offices, and other authorities as neededTrack deadlines, renewals, fees, and required updates for active permits and claimsMaintain organized records for audits, compliance reviews, and internal reportingAssist with land access agreements, landowner correspondence, and right-of-entry documentationSupport documentation for surface disturbance, reclamation reporting, and regulatory complianceMaintain land databases, mapping files, and GIS-relevant information in coordination with GIS staffTrack expiring claims, renewal deadlines, and administrative requirementsProvide land-related information to Resources, Operations, and Corporate Development teamsAssist with preparing maps, summaries, and land packages for leadership and investors Help coordinate surveying, drilling access, cultural clearances, and environmental requirementsAbide by all policies and procedures established by DISAAttend and participate in all required safety trainingsAssist with any task required by the direct supervisor Requirements Education/ Experience Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field. Or an equivalent level of experience and certification (RL, RPL) as a Landman / permitting specialistMinimum of 3 years of experience in land research, permitting, compliance, mining claims, or similar work Required Skills Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to tailor a value proposition to diverse stakeholders and create tailored solutions that balance DISA's and partner needsApply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectivelyExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to produce professional commercial proposals and deal summariesProficiency in CRM tools for pipeline management and reporting disciplineCollaborate effectively as part of a team, supporting shared goals and fostering positive relationshipsAdapt to dynamic environments and identify solutions to challenges with flexibility and problem-solving skillsMaintain professionalism with high attention to detail, reliability, accountability, and accuracy in all work deliverablesUphold and demonstrate DISA's Values of Dedication, Innovation, Sustainability, and Accelerate ChangeAbility to follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company safety standardsBe a valid U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United StatesPossess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physical Requirements Must be able to sit and/ or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally Must be able to walk several miles in rugged terrain under varied and sometimes extreme environmental conditionsMust be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sittingTo best service our customers, all employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to travel up to 25%.
