Land Acquisition Internship

Overview

The internship program is designed to help you understand what we do, how and why we do it, and to immerse you in the business, establish a network, learn, develop your skills, and have some fun. Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model, and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, or human resources.
• Learn Meritage’s core values and how they drive everything the company does.
• Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges.
• Present real‑world business recommendations to senior leadership to help drive strategy.
• Write a paper focusing on the internship experience or another assigned topic.

• Experience working in a team environment on cross‑team or functional projects.

Schedule

This is a full‑time, in‑person internship for the summer 2027 season, located in the Dallas‑Fort Worth metro area.
