Lana'i Cultural Advisor - Summer Seasonal
About the role
The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is seeking a Lana’i Cultural Advisor who embodies a passion for excellence and infuses enthusiasm into their interactions. This role shapes the guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate cultural workshops (e.g., hula, ʻoli, ukulele, weaving, ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi) while sharing the history, traditions, and moʻolelo of Lāna‘i
- Create an engaging and authentic guest experience by explaining the cultural significance of each activity and fostering a welcoming atmosphere of aloha
- Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service while maintaining guest confidentiality and upholding hospitality standards
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Lāna‘i’s culture, history, and significant sites to enhance guest education and experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and ensure all materials and areas are prepared for daily activities
Qualifications
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States. The hospitality business operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts. Experience in hula, oli, ukulele, lauhala and lau nui weaving, hula implements, ohe kapala, and olelo Hawaiʻi is preferred.

Pay
Hourly Rate: $29.69
Schedule
Operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
