Performs duties to accurately laminate materials to specification. Safely performs position-specific responsibilities to ensure a high level of productivity, quality, and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs.
Responsibilities
- Set up, shut down, and maintain laminator machine according to manufacturer’s specifications to meet daily production goals
- Maneuver large loads of material into and out of the machine frequently
- Inspect each load of laminated products to ensure customer satisfaction with quality inspection procedures including:
- Fiber tear adhesion
- Adhesion consistency
- Image registration
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues; take corrective action, such as making minor repairs or replacing parts, or escalating concerns appropriately as defined by the supervisor
- Assist in training new operators by demonstrating tasks and providing guidance on processes and procedures
- Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision; follow up with repairing equipment and using phone support as needed
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a work area in a neat and orderly condition
- Adhere to company and departmental policies and rules as defined by the employee handbook or management
- Perform other duties as assigned and work from written and verbal instruction
