About the Role

Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program designed to prepare children for kindergarten while also supporting the family. Services are provided in areas of health, nutrition, social services, special needs, and parent engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of Head Start programs
  • Provide health, nutrition, and social services to children and families
  • Engage parents in their child's education and development
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children and families

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Pass a background check and Child Abuse Clearance

Skills

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and learning
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
