Roles & Responsibilities
The Events & Entertainment Senior Supervisor will assist in the planning and execution of events, shows, character interactions, and atmospheric entertainment to complement parkwide content and increase overall guest satisfaction.
Supervisory Duties
- Supervise the daily operations of the Events & Entertainment team and any other assigned departments
- Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Lake Compounce’s core values
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts
- Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all events-related positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Connecticut law
- Aid in team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties
- Collaborate with park and corporate events leadership to evaluate current Events & Entertainment strategies at Lake Compounce
- Manage the conceptualization, planning and execution of multiple events, concurrently
- Knowledgeable of all events that are scheduled at the park to align with all Sales & Marketing events promotions
- Maintain Park event calendar, ensures its data accuracy, and makes any necessary adjustments
- Aid in the execution of live stage shows and other performances
- Manage event & activation operations for scheduled in-park events
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with park operations teams to deliver best in class prior to, day of, and post event execution
- Proactively address and resolve any unexpected issues that may occur during event
- Provide solution-based ideas to quickly and creatively resolve problems
- Promptly escalate any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies to the proper authorities
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and open to close
- Must be able to work nights up to 12 AM (midnight) during certain events
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a positive and professional manner, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and desire to participate in delivering successful and high-quality events
- Follow direction, multi-task, handle stress, and work as part of a fast-paced team
