Special Education Teacher position with the Hawaii State Department of Education.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required for all teacher, librarian, or counselor positions, except designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) roles).
• Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire. If hired without completing a Teacher’s Education Program, you have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a program to continue employment. You must demonstrate active pursuit of licensing requirements each year.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
• Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting.

• Exercise independent and professional judgment in carrying out daily functions.

Pay
