Job Summary
Connor Co., a company rich in history, is seeking a Delivery Driver/Warehouse position in Lafayette, IN. The role requires a career-minded individual who can work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition, checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and notifying the Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs.
- Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs.
- Loads the delivery truck with the product securely-avoid damages.
- Delivers items by identifying destinations, establishing routes, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining the schedule.
- Uses a cell phone to report on the progress of deliveries.
- Picks up returns items for the company.
- Verifies products delivered against the packing slip and has the customer sign the receipt.
- Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints.
- Enhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Processes inbound materials to the warehouse.
- Efficiently and effectively loads and unloads trucks.
- Inspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goods.
- Ensures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse.
- Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
- Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping, and puts in the proper container or designated area.
- General housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting.
- Aid customers at the counter.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing is preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn the Eclipse software.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Must be available from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
